Today was vet day for our sweet boys, Teddy and Archie, and if you’ve ever had a pet, you know that those appointments can come with a mix of emotions. Even when it’s just a routine checkup, there’s always that little nervous feeling in your chest while you wait for results. But we’re so happy to share that after a full day of tests—scans, exams, and bloodwork—everything came back great. Healthy, happy boys all around!
We took them to our trusted team at the vet first thing this morning. The second we pulled into the parking lot, Teddy was already curious, nose pressed to the window, while Archie gave us that look like, “Wait… I know this place.” 🐶 It’s funny how they always seem to remember.
The staff greeted them with so much love, which instantly helped calm our nerves. Both boys were absolute champs during their exams. From checking their hearts and lungs to examining their joints and teeth, the vet was incredibly thorough. Teddy, being his goofy self, tried to charm everyone in the room with tail wags and soft eyes. Archie stayed calm and steady, soaking up all the extra attention like a pro.
Next came the scans and bloodwork. That’s usually the part that makes us hold our breath a little. There’s something about waiting for lab results that feels so big. You start thinking about every possible scenario, even when there’s no real reason to worry. But we reminded ourselves that this is exactly why we do regular checkups—to stay ahead of anything and make sure they’re feeling their best.
After what felt like the longest wait ever, the vet came back with the news we were hoping for: everything looks fantastic. Their scans were clear. Bloodwork levels are right where they should be. No hidden concerns, no surprises—just two healthy boys doing exactly what they’re meant to be doing: living their best lives.
The relief in that moment is hard to describe. It’s like a weight lifts off your shoulders all at once. We didn’t even realize how tense we were until we could finally exhale. Hearing the words “healthy” and “happy” means absolutely everything.
Teddy strutted out of the office like he had just accomplished something major, and honestly, he did. Archie walked proudly beside him, probably already thinking about the well-deserved treats waiting at home. And yes, they absolutely got spoiled afterward—extra cuddles, their favorite snacks, and plenty of praise for being such brave boys.
Days like today remind us how grateful we are. Grateful for good veterinarians. Grateful for access to proper care. Grateful for these two sweet souls who bring so much love and laughter into our lives every single day. Their health isn’t something we ever take for granted.
It’s easy to focus on the fun moments—the zoomies, the cuddles, the silly antics—but making sure they’re healthy behind the scenes is just as important. And today was a beautiful reminder that all the care, attention, and love we pour into them truly matters.
