Update! Why Is Teddy Sick?

We’ve been receiving so many messages asking about Teddy, and we’re truly grateful for all the love and concern. A lot of you have been wondering the same thing:

Why is Teddy sick?

It started just a few days ago. At first, the changes were small—so small that we almost didn’t notice. Teddy was a little quieter than usual. He didn’t rush to greet us with his usual excitement, and his tail wagged just a bit slower.

We thought maybe he was just tired.

But then things became more serious.

Teddy began refusing his food, even his favorite treats. He spent most of his time lying down, and when he did get up, he moved slowly, like something didn’t feel right. His bright, happy eyes looked dull, and he didn’t respond much when Roo tried to play with him.

That’s when we knew something was wrong.

We decided to take him to the hospital immediately.

At the clinic, the vets carefully examined Teddy. They checked his temperature, listened to his heartbeat, and gently pressed on his stomach. Teddy showed signs of discomfort, especially in his abdomen, which raised concern right away.

To understand more, the vet recommended further tests.

After running blood tests and doing imaging, we finally got an answer. Teddy’s sickness was likely caused by something he had eaten that didn’t agree with his system. Dogs are naturally curious, and they sometimes pick up things they shouldn’t—whether it’s a small object, leftover food, or something from outside.

In Teddy’s case, it caused irritation and made him feel very unwell.

The good news is that it was caught in time.

The vets decided to keep Teddy under observation so they could monitor his condition closely. He was given fluids to stay hydrated and medication to help ease his discomfort and allow his body to recover.

Leaving him at the hospital was one of the hardest things we’ve had to do.

The house felt empty without him. Roo was quieter too, often looking toward the door as if waiting for Teddy to come back. It reminded us just how much he means to all of us.

But we knew he was in safe hands.

After some time, we started receiving better news. Teddy began showing small signs of improvement. He lifted his head more, responded to voices, and slowly started to regain a bit of his strength.

When we visited him, it meant everything.

Even though he was still tired, he recognized us. His tail gave a gentle wag, and that small moment filled us with so much hope.

Now, Teddy is on the path to recovery.

He still needs rest and care, but he’s getting stronger each day. This experience has reminded us how important it is to notice even the smallest changes in our pets and act quickly when something feels off.

So, why is Teddy sick?
Because of something unexpected—but thankfully, something treatable.

Thank you to everyone who has been sending love, prayers, and kind messages. Your support truly means the world.

Teddy is strong. Teddy is healing.
And soon, he’ll be back to his happy, playful self again. 🐶❤️
