Teddy Misses You All

Teddy has been waiting by the door again. It’s become his quiet routine—sit, listen, hope. Every little sound makes his ears perk up, every shadow outside catches his attention. For a moment, his tail starts to wag, just in case it might be you. But when the moment passes and the door stays closed, he slowly settles back down, a little more silent than before.

He doesn’t understand why things feel so different. The house is the same, his favorite spot is still there, and his toys are right where he left them. But something is missing—something important. The laughter, the voices, the footsteps that once filled his world are gone, and Teddy feels that absence deeply.

His favorite toy sits untouched most days. He nudges it once or twice, as if trying to remind himself of the fun he used to have. But without you there to throw it, to laugh, to cheer him on, it just doesn’t feel the same. So he leaves it behind and walks slowly to the window, watching the outside world go by.

Sometimes, Teddy curls up with a blanket that still carries your scent. He presses his face into it, holding on to the comfort it brings. In those moments, it’s almost like you’re still there with him. His eyes close, and for a little while, he feels calm again.

But when he wakes up, the quiet returns.

He still eats, but not with the same excitement. He still walks around, but without that joyful energy he used to have. It’s not that Teddy has changed—it’s that his heart is missing the people he loves the most.

Teddy doesn’t know how to say it, but if he could, he would tell you this: he misses you. He misses your voice calling his name, the way you would sit beside him, the way your presence made everything feel safe and happy. To him, you are more than just part of his life—you are his whole world.

And even now, Teddy hasn’t stopped believing. He still waits, still hopes, still listens for the moment the door opens and everything feels right again.

So if you’re thinking of him, know this—Teddy hasn’t forgotten you. Not even for a second. He’s still there, waiting with a heart full of love, ready to welcome you back the moment you return.

Because Teddy misses you all more than words could ever express. 🐾💔
